About Me

My name is Claira and I have so much to share with the world. I am an avid Christian and follower of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I recognize the fact that I am truly nothing without Him and I thank him everyday for the wonderful life that He has allowed me to take part in. Everything that I do in this life is an attempt to glorify God and it is my biggest hope that I am successful in this.

On top of being a Christian, I am also a student, currently attending The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, NM in pursuit of a degree in psychology and family studies. I will be graduating in May of 2015 and I could not be more excited to get out in the world and start making a difference in the lives' of people and families who need it the most. I am a strong believer in the difference that a family can make in each of it's members and it is my ultimate goal to help families grow stronger and closer while someday in the future creating the best possible version my own family.

I also work for a non-profit organization called Children's Choice Childcare, which operates as a before and after school program during the school year and as a full day program during summer and winter breaks, as well as on school holidays. Working with children every day of the week has been a tremendous blessing, and I truly have some of the best co-workers around. The interactions with and relationships between me and the kids I work with are things that I will treasure for the rest of my life, no doubt (even if there are days that my sanity is on the line). Children have always held a special place in my heart, and so its easy for me to say that even though this is my job, I rarely have to work here.

Although these things are at the core of my being, I am using this blog as a creative outlet for myself. I have a variety of hobbies that you will discover, appearing in the form of somewhat frequent posts here on my blog, A Little Peace of Home. Most of my inspiration comes from pinterest, so if you want to follow me there, just click this link. I will be eagerly awaiting your input and reactions to the things I post, so please don't hesitate to comment on anything.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a lovely day :)
